Native Plant Nursery

At Hidden Habitat, we specialize in growing native plants perfectly suited to thrive in your Ontario garden.

As of October 1st, the nursery will be open by appointment only.
Our online shop will remain open for your fall planting projects and appointments can be made for order pick-ups and in-person shopping by emailing us at info@hiddenhabitat.ca

Our commitment

We are committed to selling plants that are Ontario seed-sourced. This means that all of our plants are native to Ontario and have provenance or origin from Ontario.  We also practice sustainable harvesting of seeds and always require permission prior to harvesting.  Plants that are purchased are sourced from credible native plant suppliers that also share our values and sustainable practices.

We abide by the North American Native Plant Society Ethical Guidelines for sustainable seed harvesting by collecting less than 10% of the total in any location and do not collect seeds from plants listed as rare or threatened. We are also a member of the Ontario Native Plant Growers Association.
